Ernestine (Washington) Stewart Jackson

SOUTH BEND - Services for Ernestine Stewart Jackson, 66, of Frederickson Street, who died Thursday evening after an automobile e accident in LaPorte County, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Alford's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jackson was a retired Marquette Elementary School teacher. She was born March 28, 1929, in Vance, Miss. In 1987, in South Bend, she married Johnnie Jackson. He died in 1992.

Surviving are four daughters, Toni Marie Garett of Garland, Texas, Michelle Stewart of St. Paul, Minn., Nancy Ivory of South Bend and Amy Washington of Gary; three sons, Charles Stewart and Karle Stewart, both of South Bend, and Jonathon Jackson of Fairfax, Va.; 24 grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren
