Kenneth D. McGowan

Kenneth Dale McGowan, 68, formerly of South Bend, Ind., died on Nov. 18, 1999. He was born on Oct. 14, 1931. Kenneth was a graduate of the Purdue University School of. Engineering, and was a member of the Purdue Alumni Association and Elks Lodge. He served in the Korean Conflict and retired from the Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a civilian.

His working career was with various aeronautic companies: Bendix in South Bend, Grummen in New York, and Pratt Whitney & LTV in Dallas. He had helped work and design the F-14 and F-16 airplanes in 1975. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Michael M. and Jeannie L. McGowan.

He is survived by his wife, Christina C. McGowan; a daughter and son-in-law, Tara (McGowan) and Christopher Crowl; and by a grandson, Joseph Kenneth Crowl.

Kenneth will be deeply missed by family and friends.

A memorial service was held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 22, 1999,. in the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, Ohio. Visitation was from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 22nd, in the funeral home.
