Gertrude Theresa Chrobot (nee Frydrych) Nov. 8, 1930 -Oct. 19, 2013 ST. PAUL, MN Gertrude Theresa Chrobot (nee Frydrych), 82, longtime resident of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013, in Episcopal Church Home, St. Paul, Minnesota. Gertrude was born on November 8, 1930, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late John and Anna Frydrych.

On October 14, 1950, in South Bend, she married Eugene Mathew Chrobot. Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Beth Anne Claas, and son-in-law, Steven Claas, who live in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; her brothers, Fritz and Todd Frydrych, and her sister, Alice Gorski.

As a young woman Gertrude was employed as a tellermanager at St. Joseph Bank; then spent many years as a devoted home and school volunteer at St. John the Baptist School and Church; and retired from Tuesley-Reliance Pharmacy where she was a Pharmacist Assistant. Gertrude spent the last three years of her life surrounded by good friends and the wonderful caregivers at Episcopal Church Home where she contributed enthusiastically to community life.
