Adam Lamar Blake - Class Of 1991 VIEW PROFILE

 

Adam Lamar Blake, of 46, formerly of South Bend departed this earthly life on Friday, April 26, 2019 in Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. His loving family was by his side.

Adam was born on January 8, 1973 in South Bend to the union of Perlether (Lane) and Hardie Blake, Jr. He grew up in a Christian home and confessed his hope in Christ at an early age; he was baptized by his father. He graduated from Washington High School in 1991.  On December 6, 1999 he was united in marriage to Natasha Kalber. He and Tasha relocated to Indianapolis where they raised their children.

Adam leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Natasha; three daughters, JaShira McDuffy of Louisville, Kentucky, Angel and Heaven Blake and one son, Adam Blake, Jr.; two grandchildren, DJ and Anna Blake all of Indianapolis; his parents, Hardie and Perl Blake of South Bend; two brothers, Anthony Blake of Indianapolis, and David (Dee), Smith of Michigan; paternal grandmother, Louise Blake, special friends Stacey Hopkins and Bennie “BG” Gavin both of Indianapolis and Martin Johnson of South Bend along with nieces and nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Adam was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents James and Vernice Lane and his paternal grandfather, Hartie Blake, Sr.

Adam was a loving and kind person who had a profound love for his family. He will be remembered for his bubbly personality, his infectious and bright smile that would light up any room and his bold and beautiful t-shirt designs. In Adam’s passing others will live as he blessed them as an organ donor.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Greater St. John Missionary Church, 101 N. Adams St. South Bend, IN.

The family extends a heartfelt appreciation to everyone for the many acts of love and kindness expressed during this time. May God continue to bless and keep you.
