Mrs. Emma Lee Williams, 68, passed away on the evening of Friday, May 1, 2020 in South Bend. Emma was born on April 4, 1952 in Union City, TN to the late Willie and Roise (Agnew) Williams.

Emma was a long-term resident of South Bend, having relocated from St. Louis MO. She was employed at ACME Corp as a supervisor from 1988 – 1998 and was a member of the VFW 9733 Ladies Auxiliary. Emma was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Emma Lee Williams is survived by her children: daughter Shonette M. Williams of South Bend and two sons, Billy Lee Hughes, Jr. of Indianapolis and Brian D. Hughes, Sr. of South Bend; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Gloria Stokes of CA, Norma Diggins of FL and Regina Reed of TX; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lee Hughes, Sr., and her granddaughter, Darisha Hughes.

Per the family's request, no public services will be held. Palmer Funeral Homes – West Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
