Leonard “Jeff” White

Leonard “Jeff” White, 53, of South Bend, Ind., died on Tuesday April 4, in Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was born August 18, 1952, to Wilbert White Sr. and Thelma White in Memphis, Tenn.

Jeff was a member of New Peter Rock Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and choir member.

Jeff leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Thelma White of South Bend; five sisters, Modena Clark (Johnie) of South Bend, Edna Davis (Bert) of Memphis, TN, Mary Parks of Memphis, TN, Loria Wilson of Memphis, TN, and Avis Hardy (Butch) of Fremont, CA; two brothers, James White of Kansas City, KS, and Emmett White of Oakland, CA; along with two god-daughters, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His father Wilbert White Sr. preceded in death along with a sister, Louise Palmer and two brothers, Wilbert White Jr. and William White.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday April 8, in New Peter Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 802 Van Buren St., South Bend, IN, where friends may call one hour before services. Burial will be at the Marion National Cemetery. Clark-O’Neal Funeral Home is handling services
