James Allen Watts

South Bend - James A. Watts, 60, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 in his residence surrounded by his family and close friends.

Jim was born July 6, 1953 in South Bend to the late Eldon and Dorothy (Neice) Watts, Sr. Jim was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Johnson.

Jim married Kelly (Slauson) Watts on September 3, 2011 in South Bend, she survives along with her son, Cody L. VanderReyden; his daughter, Jessica M. Watts; and his son, James W. Watts; brothers and sisters, Eldon (Darlene) Watts Jr., Charles (Kathleen) Watts; Dorothy (James) Vanderhegghen, Willis G. Watts and Tina (James) Kruszewski; grandchildren, Taylor Watts, Ethan Watts and Emily Hodges; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Jim was the owner operator of SMOR Cases, Inc. for twenty six years. He was a member of the Blackthorn Golf Club where he was an avid golfer and looked forward to his yearly golf trips with The Eddy Cuppers. He also took great joy in his many years of camping with his Camping Buddies. He had a love for animals, especially his Dalmatians, and enjoyed watching the wildlife surrounding his home at "Hedgewood Estates." He enjoyed his many adventures and good times at the lake with family and friends. Jim was the type of person who you could always count on for a helping hand. He was an amazing husband, loving father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend.

Visitation for Jim will be 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, October 23, 2013 where a Rosary will be prayed at 3:30pm in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. where a Funeral Ceremony will be celebrated at 10:00am Thursday, October 24, 2013.
