Dennis J. Ratajczak
July 30, 1953 ~ August 31, 2022 (age 69)
It is with our deepest regret to announce the sudden passing of Dennis J. Ratajczak, age 68, of South Bend, Indiana. Dennis passed on from this world on August 31st, 2022 at 10:32 PM surrounded by loved ones.
Dennis was a resilient person who worked hard for everything he owned but also went by the phrase “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” He would make great use out of things deemed garbage by others and was very proud of that. With a great love for food, friends and good music you could often find him at the center of gatherings of friends and family. The room would be full of laughter and smiling faces as he told countless jokes and dined on delicious food. Along with his love of good company he had a great passion for gardening and the outdoors. He took pride in maintaining the trails and his hand made campground in the woods behind his home.
Dennis is survived by 2 sisters, Sandra (Larry) Ringler and Teresa Ratajczak; brother, Larry Ratajczak; 2 nieces; Rashelle (Donald) Stump and Kristen (Roman) Calleja; 2 daughters, Kristine (Damen Morczek) Johnson and Lisa (Mitch) Evans; 1 son, Jesse Ballew; and 5 grandchildren; Madeline Hubbard, Hayden Ratajczak, Sam Johnson, Dylan Beavo and Quinn Evans.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Julie J. Ratajczak; and parents, Rose M. Ratajczak and Arthur L. Ratajczak.
