Charles E. Miller

Charles E. Miller, 29, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of South Bend, died of single gunshot wound in the head around 3 a.m. Saturday at his home. St. Louis Police detective Bill Carter said Miller apparently was shot during a domestic dispute. A suspect has been questioned, but has not been taken into custody. Miller was a fireman for McDonald Aircraft Co. Born on Jan. 6, 1953, in Eudora, Ark., he had lived in South Bend most of his life.
On Aug. 26, 1972, in South Bend, he married Carolyn Evans. She survives, along with his mother, Mrs. Dortha Miller of South Bend; a daughter, Camesha Miller at home; a son, Charles E. Jr. at home; five sisters, Miss Rose Miller of East Chicago, Ill., and Misses Alice, Karen, Debra and Francine, all of South Bend; two half sisters, Miss Patricia Price of South Bend and Miss Patricia Winston of Houston, Tex.; three brothers. Carl, Murray and Odie Jr., all of South Bend: two half-brothers, Donald Price with the Marines, and Daniel Price of South Bend; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ophelia Simmons of South Bend; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Alice Farris of Eudora.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Kirk, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday at Clark's Funeral Chapel.
He was a former member of the church, and an Air Force veteran
