Robert Lee Love Jr.

Robert Lee Love Jr., known to his family and friends as "Bobby Buns" was born Sept. 29, 1951, in Memphis, Tenn., to the union of Robert Lee and Johnnie B. (Robinson) Love Sr.
He was called home to be with the lord on Saturday, Feb. 19, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Ind., from an extended illness.
Robert graduated from Washington High School in 1971. He attended Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, Mich., where he received an associates in arts degree. He was a substitute teacher in the South Bend Community Schools for several years. He had 20 years of service in the custodial business, prior to his illness. Robert received numerous community service achievement awards for his time and dedication working with local youth in track, football and basketball. He grew up in Grace Memorial Church of God in Christ as a child under the leadership of elder Samuel Tabb. He gave his life to Christ this year and was a member of St. Luke Memorial Church of God in Christ.
Robert leaves to cherish his memories his father, Robert Love Sr. of South Bend; three sisters, Peggy Forrest and Judy K. Love , both of South Bend, and Cynthia (Willie) Bush of Aurora, Ill.; three brothers, Wilford (Ernestine) Love and Michael (Elsie) Love , both of South Bend, and Johnny (Patricia) Love of Fort Wayne, Ind.; along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
His mother, Johnnie B. Love ; and brother-in-law, Joseph Forrest, both preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, in St. Luke Memorial Church of God in Christ. Visitation will occur one hour prior to services in the church. His committal, and final resting place, will be at Southlawn Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted with Alford's Mortuary.
