SOUTH BEND - Mark J. Kolber, 45, of West Sample Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 4 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Kolber was born on Jan. 10, 1952, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. He was employed by the St. Joseph County Highway Department and was also a self-employed roofer.
Mr. Kolber is survived by his parents, Ted Kolber and Mary Jane (Cichocki) Bahrke, both of South Bend; two sisters, Jan Lekarczyk and Diane Glon, both of South Bend; a brother, Kevin Kolber of South Bend; his maternal grandmother, Victoria Cichocki of South Bend; a stepsister, Cheryl Kochmar of South Bend; a stepbrother, Greg Coppens of Houston, Texas; and by four nephews and a niece. Mr. Kolber was a member of the Crumstown Conservation Club.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
