Denise Jansen Obituary
Denise R. Jansen, 48 of South Bend, passed away on Tuesday April 2, 2019 at the Hospice House Roseland, IN.
Denise was born in South Bend on November 21, 1970
Surviving is her mother, Judy (Pete) Jansen-Smith; brother Jodey Jansen of Mishawaka, IN. and her sister Andrea E. Smith of South Bend, IN.
Denise graduated from Washington High School and Ball State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and a Minor in Older Adult Fitness, she worked at Memorial Hospital’s Cardiac Rehab and Health & Lifestyle Center as an Exercise Specialist, until her health no longer allowed her to work.
Denise adored her “Mommy”; they were the very best of friends. Family was number one in Denise’s life; she loved her aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews very much! Friends were something Denise had many of, many were family, just not by blood.
Denise will be sadly missed by her children (with four paws) Relay, Noah, Linus, Simba, Bella, Mittens, Oscar, Chia, Skeeter & DJ.
Her love of music was celebrated all through her life, at one point recording her own original song “Lord of My Life”. Her favorite music was Christian, Oldies 50’s/60’s and Musicals.
Funeral Services for Denise will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel, 3718 So. Michigan St, South Bend, IN. 46614. Friends may visit with the family prior to service from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place following the service at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend.
