SOUTH BEND - Min. Andrea Louise Johnson, 67, of South Bend, IN made her transition peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2011 surrounded by loving family. Andrea was born in Gary, IN on January 30, 1944 to the union of Henry Austin Johnson and Mae Elizabeth (Kelley) Johnson-Geeter. She moved t4o South Bend, IN in 1961 and graduated from Washington High School in 1962. She holds several degrees including a Master of Science in Education with concentration in Counseling and Human Services. Andrea was self-employed as a master cosmetologist for over forty years, as Adjunct Professor Dept of Education at Indiana University South Bend and Substitute Teacher for South Bend Community School Corporation. She leaves to cherish beautiful memories, a loving daughter, Karen Michele and son-in-law Howard Eugene King, both of South Bend, IN. Grandson, Eugene King and great-granddaughter, MaKayla King. Loving sister, Elder Karen (Johnson) and Johnny Ross of Hephzibbah, Georgia and one brother, Rodney Johnson of Bloomington, IL. Preceding her in death are her parents, a special nephew, Victor K. Smith, two great nieces, Jasmine Simone Carter, DeShira Smith and great nephew, Jacob Troupe. Services for Min. Andrea Johnson will be held at Noon Saturday in Cobb Funeral Home 3525 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN where friends may call one hour before services. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb Funeral Home.
