Cedric Lamont Sanders

October 1, 1972 – February 1, 2023

On Wednesday, February 1, 2023, Cedric Lamont Sanders entered his eternal home at 50 years of age.

Cedric was a son, a brother, a cousin, a father, a grandfather, and a friend. He had a kind heart, keen intellect, and an infectious laugh. As a graduate of Harrison Elementary School and Washington High School, Cedric grew up on "the Lake". His parents, Percy Lee Sanders, Jr. and Shirley Ann (Terry) Sanders preceded him in death.

Surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Darrell (Kathy) Sanders, Teresa (Donald) Perry, Perry (Cherrie) Sanders, and Corina Sanders. Cedric was the youngest of his brothers and sisters and shared a family bond with his sole surviving uncle and aunt, Melton and Lucille Sanders, and first cousins Milton Sanders, Kavin Sanders, Alfreda (George) Howell, and LaDonna (David) Young. Cedric was more like a son and brother than a nephew and cousin. Cedric was also the father of Porscha Jones Sanders of Dallas, Texas, Cedrianna (Darius) Hairston, Cedrice Sanders, Devin Sanders, Aliya Sanders, Daevion Sanders, and father figure for DeVonte Cropes, all residing locally.

The extended list of family and friends that Cedric's life touched is lengthy. He was many things to many people. A Celebration of Life is planned in the next 2-3 weeks, details pending.
