SOUTH BEND, IN - Mr. Larry Darnell Palmer, 52, of South Bend, Indiana entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 in Beacon-Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. Larry was born on March 19, 1966 in South Bend to Annise Mitchem and the late Harold Palmer, Sr.

Larry was a proud 1984 graduate of Washington High School where he was an awarded Indiana State accomplished wrestling, football, and track standout and letterman; his Jersey number was 15. His most cherished sports accomplishment was taking part in Triple A Pro Football with the Dallas Cowboys. He also attended Sterling College in Kansas. His employment history included the South Bend School Corporation and Janco Products where he worked until he became disabled.

Larry's greatest enjoyment was spending time with his daughters. He nurtured them and taught them to be honorable and respectable young ladies. He supported their every endeavor and was very proud of their accomplishments while never doubting their promising futures.

He will be especially missed in his home where his memory is cherished in the hearts of his loving daughters, Tyeisha, Tamara, and Talairia Palmer; mother and stepfather, Annise and Murphy Vassar of Aberdeen, Mississippi; brothers, Fuddie “Fontasia” Lewis, Kenny (Lillian) Palmer, Wayne Palmer, Harold (Amy) Palmer, Jr., and Jon (Marisa) Palmer; sisters, Denise Palmer, Cathy (Brian) Diggins, and Darlene Minnis; and sister-in-law, Gloria Lewis. Along with his father, he also joins in paradise a brother, Brian Lewis; maternal grandparents, Helen Louise “Bamps” Mitchem and Willie Dalton; and paternal grandparents, Levi Fuller and Georgia Palmer.

The Funeral Service is 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Rhema Word International Outreach Ministries, 802 East Mishawaka Ave., with visitation one hour before the service.
