Barbara Ginter
Barbara Jean Ginter, 84, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at her residence in South Bend.
Barbara was born in South Bend on May 16, 1940, to the late Theresa H. (Kalka) and Joseph F. Ginter. She graduated from Washington High School in 1958. She had worked for Blue Phoenix, Intracomp, Associates Corp. of North America, and after her retirement she worked for Notre Dame Catering. She was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church and St. Adalbert Sisters Auxiliary.
Barbara was an avid Notre Dame Football fan. She loved baking, going bowling, and going to the casino.
Left to cherish the memories of Barbara are her sister, Kathy A. Ginter of South Bend; niece, Betty and husband Dave Crim of South Bend; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Dorothy Kuzmicz, and Marie Ginter, and a brother Danny Ginter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Monday, September 9, 2024, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church, 2505 W. Grace Street, South Bend, with a one-hour visitation prior to the Mass in the church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
