Barbara G. Bejma

July 18, 1940 - July 4, 2003

Barbara G. Bejma, 62, of Houston, Texas, passed away at 6:35 a.m. Friday, July 4, in her sister’s residence on Colby Drive, Mishawaka, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Ms. Bejma was born July 18, 1940, to Stanley W. and Irene (Buczynski) Bejma in South Bend, Ind. Her father, Stanley, preceded her in death, along with a brother, Eugene, and a sister-in-law, Joyce Bejma.

Survivors include her mother, Irene Bejma of South Bend; two brothers, Robert Bejma of Ashland City, Tenn., and Bernard Bejma of South Bend; two sisters, Mary Jane Stopczynski and her husband, Stanley of South Bend, and Patricia Howard and her husband, James of Mishawaka; a sister-in- law, Estelle Bejma; and by five nieces and seven nephews.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, July 7, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Ind., with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Ms. Bejma was a graduate of South Bend Washington High School, class of 1958.She was employed for over 43 years with Continental Airlines, arranging and closing flights. Barbara enjoyed the good life, traveling, gardening and woodworking and especially enjoyed her dachshund, Cassie.

Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County
