Patricia Zimmerman Watkins

SOUTH BEND - Patricia M. Watkins, 59, residing in South Bend, passed away Tuesday morning, March 13, 2018 in her residence.

She was born September 15, 1958 in South Bend, a daughter of Bruce W. and Esther M. (Zimmerman) Watkins, and has remained a lifelong resident of South Bend, having graduated from Washington High School.

Pat is survived by her loving mother, Esther Watkins of South Bend; and her two brothers, Michael (Claudia) Watkins of Cassopolis, MI and Brian Watkins of South Bend; along with five nieces and nephews, Kasey Watkins, Kelley Watkins, Jeremy Watkins, Katie Watkins, and Abigail Watkins; and two great-nephews, Braxton & Quinn Mortakis.

Pat worked for several years in child care, and later worked at the front desk at Apostolic Temple Village. She was a lifelong member of Apostolic Temple Church in South Bend. She attended Bethel College, Mishawaka, on a two year scholarship.

She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and watching Jeopardy. She was very fond of horses and dogs, and had two dogs who were very special to her. She also liked going to the 4-H fair each year, and always looked forward to going to the next fair.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, at Apostolic Temple, 2221 South Ironwood Drive, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at church on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be offered to Apostolic Temple.
