Dennis J. Laskowski

SOUTH BEND - Dennis J. Laskowski, 71, passed away unexepectedly March 13, 2014. He was born January 30, 1943, to Clem Laskowski and Norma (Freeland) Laskowski Hafer. They preceded him in death.

He is survived by two siblings, Cheryl A. (Robert) Horvath of South Bend and Barry Hafer of Lake Geneva, WI; four nieces, Rose and Carrie Horvath, Kylie Horvath Jonas and Amanda Hafer; nephew, Alan Hafer; and many great-nieces and nephews that he enjoyed spending time with.

Dennis was a teacher for the South Bend Community School Corp. for over 26 years. He was a car enthusiast and loved to collect car and sports memorabilia, and enjoyed Formula 1 racing. He was actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America, reaching the rank of Eagle Scout.

Per his request, a short and simple service will be held in the mausoleum at Highland Cemetery on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 10:30 AM. Donations may be made in his name to the Boy Scouts of America. To send condolences, please visit www.McGannHay.com.
