LeRoy R. Krempec

LeRoy R. Krempec, 82, passed away March 30, 2025, at Greenleaf Health Campus. He was born February 7, 1943 in South Bend to the late Roman & Renatta (Szulczyk) Krempec.
On June 22, 1968 he married Nancy Wasikowski; she survives along with 2 sons, Dr. Michael (Jamie) Krempec and Dr. Jeffrey (Amy) Krempec, 4 grandchildren, Colin, Ian, Joseph, and Charles. Also surviving are 2 step grandchildren, Savannah and Stella, a brother, Robert (Debbie) Krempec, and his beloved dog, Mazee.
LeRoy was a U.S. Army Veteran, member of the American Legion #365, worked for Conrail for over 40 years, and was a wonderful soccer coach. He enjoyed fly-fishing, golfing, and joking around with others. LeRoy's greatest accomplishment was his family; and he couldn't have been more proud of his two sons becoming doctors. He will be remembered for being a gracious and truly humble man.
Per his wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Traditions Hospice.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Greenleaf Health Campus for the wonderful care they took of LeRoy.
Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
