SOUTH BEND - Ronald C. ''Ronnie'' Ciesielski, 19, of North Edison Avenue, was dead on arrival at 2:05 a.m. Sunday morning in Memorial Hospital. His death is under investigation. Mr. Ciesielski was a senior at Washington High School. He was born Dec. 7, 1974, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident. On Dec. 14, 1992, in South Bend, he married Karen Caldera. She survives with two sons, Aaron A. and Christian J., both at home; his parents, Ronald A. and Gisele Ciesielski of South Bend; two sisters, Barbara Ciesielski and Jennifer Ciesielski, both of South Bend; three brothers, Steven and Robert, both of South Bend, and Chet of Connersville, Ind.; maternal grandparents, Robert and Martha Whittling of South Bend; paternal grandmother, Virginia Ciesielski of South Bend; and paternal great-grandmother, Gladys Harms of Mishawaka. He was a member of the wrestling team at Washington High School.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Ronald C. Ciesielski

Age 19 of North Edison, was shot and killed. He was a senior at Washington High School. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.

The night of May 28, 1994, South Bend Police responded to a 911 call at 265 N. Kenmore Street. A woman reported that 3 black males forced their way into the house and shot 19-year old Ronnie Ciesielski in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Police have interviewed possible suspects in this case, but need more information for charges to be filed.
