Scott Allen Mattasits Jr.

March 29, 1981 – Feb. 12, 2004

Scott Allen Mattasits Jr., 22, beloved son, grandson, uncle, nephew and friend, died Thursday, Feb.12, 2004. Scott was born March 29, 1981, in South Bend, Ind.

He is survived by his parents, Scott A. and Christine C. (Farrell) Mattasits; grandmother, Jeri Mattasits; stepsister, Candance L. Byrne; stepbrother, Michael R. McDonald; a niece, Rachel; two nephews, Ryan and Rielly;and by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Scott attended Holy Family Grade School, and graduated from Washington High School where he played football and soccer. He was attending classes and working in the family business, Acorn Construction Company. Scott was an avid sports fan and coached soccer for the Michiana Soccer Association.

Scott was a kind, loving and caring person.He was always willing to go the extra mile to help others. He was surrounded by many, many friends.

A memorial Mass will take place Tuesday, Feb.17, in the Holy Family Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Visitation services will be held in the Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, from 6 to 8 p.m.Monday, with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Rescue Mission or to the Center for the Homeless.
