DARLENE (DEKERR) GISH

SOUTH BEND - Darlene S. Gish, 68, passed away at 2:05 am on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in Hospice House. Darlene was born on January 12, 1942, in South Bend to the late Elmer and Helen (Kalmar) DeKerr. Darlene is survived by her two children, Kimberly Thompson of Indianapolis, IN and Tony (Taraleigh) Gish of South Bend; three grandchildren, Chase and Riley Thompson and Brittany Imler; and by her sister, Karen (Leonard) Cousins of South Bend.

Darlene was a 1960 graduate of Washington High School. She was the office manager for Dr. Edward Molenda, DDS and Dr. Julie Plaggen, DDS for 23 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed going to Hacienda and getting together with her classmates and her best friend Shirley Lauver.

A special thank you to the Hospice Staff and Brandy, the Nurse Practitioner from Dr. R. Ansari's office. Darlene just loved you!

Cremation will take place. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road is assisting the family. In lieu of flower memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net
