Gail A. Brodie, 82, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2025.

Gail was born on October 12, 1942 in Evansville, IN to the late Joseph E. and Annette Mitchell Brodie. Along with her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Brodie, II.

Left to cherish their memory of Gail are her siblings, Paula Johnson, and Judith Brodie-Brooks; nieces, Donna Johnson, Lee Ann Brevard, and Alayna Brooks; nephews, Douglas Johnson, and Alvin Brooks, 1 great-niece, 5 great-nephews, many great-great-nieces and nephews; many cousins; 2 goddaughters, Reba Williams and Teshylia Peters; along with one aunt, Ruth Nance of Evansville.

Gail was an executive director for Honeywell; she retired after 34 years. She was the president of the LaSalle Park neighborhood organization; she followed her mother’s footsteps as an activist for the under privileged. Gail was also one of the original founders of the lady’s birthday group. She was a board member of the LaSalle Park homes. Gail received a Real Service's Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award. She even had a street named after her “Gail Brodie Lane” in the LaSalle Park neighborhood area. 

She graduated from Washington High School in 1961. She enjoyed golf. Most of all, she was a wonderful aunt to her sister's children as well as a great sister and friend.

A visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, July 8th, from 12 -2PM, at St Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower, South Bend, IN.
