Ronald Wasikowski Obituary

Ronald E. Wasikowski, age 82, of Granger, IN, passed away Tuesday morning at Story Point, Granger.  Ronald was born on October 31, 1939 in South Bend, IN to the late Edward and Evelyn Wasikowski and lived in this area most of his life.  Ronald was a Pharmacist and was predominantly employed by Hook’s Drugs and Meijer.  On September 2, 1961 in South Bend, Ronald married Joyce Mary Baines who preceded him in death on September 10th of this year. 

Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Radzienda of North Brook, IL, two sons, Scott (Leanne) Wasikowski of Norwalk, CT, Mark (Deborah) Wasikowski of Van Alstyne, TX, eight grandchildren; Ryan, Drew, Sarah, Lauren, Luke, Jacob, Mitchell, and Michael, and two sisters, Nancy (Leroy) Krempec of Edwardsburg, MI and Patricia (Darrell) McKenzie of New Palastine, IN.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 15, at 12:00 at the Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer Chapel, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN  46635.  Friends may gather one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  A committal service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. 

Ron loved his family and enjoyed spending time with all.  He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Purdue University.  Favorite times and “lake life” were spent with family and friends, camping and fishing.  Ron was also an avid golfer.

Ronald Wasikowski 1959 WHS graduate Died September 2022 Sisters are Nancy Wasikowski Krempec1961 Pat Wasikowski McKenzie 1962 Husband of Joyce Baines Wasikowski 1960 JOYCE AND RON BOTH DIED IN SEPTEMBER OF 2022...4 Days apart. Ron graduated from Purdue University ..he was a Pharmacist. Joyce Baines Wasikowski WHS grad 1960 Joyce was born in Chicago and attended WHS only her senior year. Joyce died first and on her birthday, Ron died 4 days later. They had a double funeral service and are buried in St Joseph Cemetery along the side of our Mom and Dad. Joyce was a housewife and worked in retail sales.
