Karen Davis, 75, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Kingston at Dupont in Fort Wayne. Born in Rensselaer, IN, Karen worked as a secretary with Fort Wayne Community Schools for 25 years, retiring in 2006. She was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Society, through Our lady of Good Hope, and a volunteer and senior games coordinator with Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation. Karen was a passionate cheerleader for her children and grandchildren at their sporting events. She enjoyed spending the summers at Clear Lake and helping her husband with their Four Corners business.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Lawrence L. Davis of Fort Wayne; son, Dr. Gary D. Davis of Auburn, IN; daughters, Cheryl A. (Mark) Sherbondy of Angola, IN and Patricia S. Davis of Fort Wayne; sister, Joyce (Richard) Sinkiewicz of Crown Point, IN; 6 grandchildren; and 5 nieces.
Karen was preceded in death by brother, Richard Johnson; father, Leslie E. Johnson; and mother, Lotus (Fisher) Johnson.
Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday, October 19, 2017 in St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Drive, at 10:30 am with Father Robert D'Souza officiating and one hour of calling prior to the Mass. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park 1320 E. Dupont Road, Wednesday, October 18, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
