October 16, 1941 ~ February 19, 2025 (age 83)

Patricia Ann Plencner, 83, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was born on October 16, 1941 to the late Harry and Sabina (Weis) Golichowski. On December 02, 1961, Patricia married Daniel Plencner, he preceded her in death in 2013. She was also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Alvin Wagnerowski and James Plencner.

Left to cherish their memory of Pat are her children, Mike (Denise) Plencner, Kenny (Karen) Plencner, Janice Penix; grandchildren, Nick Plencner, Emily Jones, Korey, Katie & Kyle Plencner, Anita, Danny, Marie, Mason, & Olivia Penix, and Chris McPeak; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Christine Wagnerowski, sister-in-law, Helen Plencner; and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was a member of the St. Stanislaus Kostka Rosary Sodality Society and Harvest House, and she cooked for various weddings at St. Stanislaus Kostka and St. Hedwig. She worked for 1st Source Bank out of high school until her longtime homemaker career. After her children were grown, she worked as an Usher for Notre Dame for many years and loved talking to all the people there. Pat enjoyed diamond painting, ceramics, plastic canvas, gardening, canning, and baking. She made an incredible banana cake and thumbprint cookies. Pat loved Polka dancing, playing cards with the neighborhood card club, and traveling with her husband around the world. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and sitting on her back porch watching the birds.

Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, February 27, 2025 in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am on Friday, February 28, 2025 in Holy Family Catholic Church, Mayflower Rd. with a 1-hour visitation prior to mass at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.    

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elara Caring Hospice, 314 W. Catalpa Dr., Ste. E-F, Mishawaka, IN 46545 or for Mass Intentions at Holy Family Catholic Church, 56405 Mayflower Rd., South Bend, IN 46619.  Online condolences can be made at sjfh.net.
