SOUTH BEND - Ronald J. Milewski, 82, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017, in his residence.

Ron was born on April 15, 1935, in South Bend, to Harry and Anna (Kruk) Milewski. He graduated from Washington High School and Indiana State University where he played football. Ron taught science at Madison Elementary School and coached football and baseball as well as instructed drivers education classes before becoming the partner and business manager of Mishawaka Barnaby's. Ron also was a United States Army veteran, avid fisherman, member of Pier 1000 in St. Joseph, MI, and winter resident of Punta Gorda, FL. On October 20, 1956, he married his high school sweetheart, June K. Urbanski. She died on August 5, 2016.

Surviving are a sister, Dolores A. Torma-Bella; brother-in-law, Donald Urbanski; nephews and nieces, John (Tara) Torma, Susan (David) Kazmierzak, Robert (Lori) Urbanski, and Sandy (Larry) Molnar; great-nephews and nieces, Liaa (John) Michaels, Kira (Shannon) Leach, Brian (Susan) Kazmierzak, Eric (Jillian) Kazmierzak, Samantha (Kelby) Wendzel and Alex Molnar; great-great-nephews and nieces, Kyle, Haiden, Cassidy, Mitchell, Mason, Grace and Lily; and his manager at Barnaby's for 47 years, Mike Lane.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staffs of Heartland Hospice and Always Best Care for their care and support.

Per Ron's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no services. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Memorial Children's Hospital.
