Michael Charles Carroll passed peacefully on January 8, 2018 at the Golden Living Center in Mishawaka, IN. Mike was born on October 2, 1949 to Rita Jane (Futa) and Charles Carroll, who preceded him in death.
Mike graduated from Washington High School and attended Indiana State University on a golf scholarship. Mike also honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Surviving are his children: Jennifer Carroll (Mark Remus), Jeffrey (Tracy) Carroll, and Jessica (Lee) Kendall. Also surviving are his mother, Rita Carroll; brother, Dave (Terry) Carroll; and sister, Judi (Steve) Infalt. Mike was blessed with 5 grandchildren: Nolan Carroll, Braxton Kendall, Austin and Parker Lee, and Taylor Watson. Mike is also survived by his ex-wife, Rebecca Akai and several nieces and nephews.
Mike loved the game of golf and passed his passion for all sports to his children. Mike had a clever sense of humor and made friends easily, whatever the situation. Mike loved a good song (especially Motown), telling a good story, and a great hand in poker.
There will be a visitation from 12:00-2:00pm on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615 with military honors at 2:00pm.
