In Memory

Sherry Ann (Folk) Conner
June 28, 1950 ~ November 16, 2025
Sherry Ann (Folk) Conner, 75, of South Bend, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, November 16, 2025. Born on June 28, 1950 in South Bend, IN, she was the beloved daughter to Glenn and Evelyn Folk.
A devoted wife, mother, and Grammy to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she built a life marked by unwavering love, quiet strength and deep commitment to her family. She married Terry Conner on November 30, 1968 and together they created a home filled with a “million little memories”, of which we were able to reminisce, smile about with her and thank her for, over her last days.
Throughout her life, Sherry was known for her faith, her kindness to everyone and her servant-hearted spirit. She always had a smile on her face. She stayed active, loved to take walks around the Pittsburgh bridges when visiting her youngest son, and would always remind us to “keep moving”. Her mission trips to the Dominican Republic and to New Orleans were some of her greatest memories, and serving those communities. Her greatest joy, however, was caring for her family. She would play catch with us in the front yard, a game of “horse” on the basketball court, double dutch in the driveway, get out the cards for a game of rummy and was always up for a fun craft. Our home was filled with love. Our home was quiet. Our home was safe. Our home was her.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Terry Conner; her children, Nicole, Scott and Chad (Stephanie); grandchildren, Ann Marie Bogunia, Taylor Conner, Kenedi Conner, Jared Hayes, Elsie May Conner; great-great-grandchildren Aarius, Brantley, Jreamy, Kamdyn, Benjamin, and Quincy, all of who were blessed by her steady presence and unconditional love. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Evelyn Folk, her brother Ken Folk and his wife Connie, her in-laws, Margaret and Ken Conner; and brothers-in-law, Ken Conner, Jr. and Dave Conner.
Visitation for Sherry will be 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025 in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 21, 2025 in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Sumption Prairie Cemetery.
