MISHAWAKA - Claudette Douthitt, 68, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Claudette was born September 25, 1948, in South Bend, Indiana, to Joseph and Alice Bystry.

Claudette was a graduate of Washington High School and attended Indiana University. She retired in 2009 from Federal Mogul where she worked as Administrative Assistant to the Plant Manager. Claudette enjoyed life in every aspect and shared her love of life with her family and friends at every opportunity. She enjoyed every holiday and looked forward to decorating the house for the occasion; she loved nature and all the animals, especially her cats. Claudette's greatest achievements were her daughters and their loving families. She said many times that God blessed her with so many things she could not count them all.
