Keontaye Re`Shawn Watson, “Dude”, was a resident of his place of birth, South Bend, Indiana.  He was born March 10, 1995.He entered into eternal rest on January 30, 2015.

 

Keontaye also lived in Union City, Tennessee with his father, Tyrone Watson.  Keontaye was a very nice, handsome and respectful young man that was loved and well known.  His grandfather referred to him as an “old man with an old soul.”

 

He is survived by his parents, Fathom Shavers of South Bend, Indiana and Tyrone (Kantina)  Watson of Union City, Tennessee; siblings, Kalesha Bell, South Bend, IN,  Desmont Foster, Union City, TN, Brianna Foster, Atlanta, GA, Tyneshia Watson, Jasmine Thompson and Tyshaun Knight, all of Port Arthur, TX; step-sisters, D’Lesha Olds and Tomeshia Smith, both of Union City, TN; maternal grandmother, Lillie Estella Turley; paternal grandmother, Ferneshia Ann Guiden, both of South Bend, IN; paternal grandfather, Reverend Eugene (Shirley) Coleman of Union City, TN., and Jessie Watson, Syracuse, NY; great-grandmothers, Archie Pewitte and Wilma Sue Thomas, both of South Bend, IN; special aunts, Angela Lynn Williams and Cathy Jones both of South Bend, IN, Andrea Higginbotham, Indianapolis, IN, Bobbie Jean Shavers, Chicago, IL, Betty Shavers, Diane Shavers, Ella Shavers, Blondnice Shavers and Dorothy Shavers; and uncles, Curtis Shavers and John Shavers Jr., all of Minnesota, Dewitt Shavers, South Bend, IN, aunts, Jessica Watson, Charmaine Watson and Tamera Teague all of Syracuse, NY; one great aunt, Bobbie Winfrey Sessom of South Bend, IN.; uncles, Jerry (Leatrice) Guiden, Tony Brazier, Darryl Brazier, Donald Ray Guiden and Raynard Wardlow all of South Bend, IN.; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Wesley Shavers; a niece, Brooklyn Rose          Noble’; cousin, Novell Lester; and a very very nice and special person in his life, Jeannie Martin, his lifetime girlfriend.
