William C. Burkus

March 12, 1953 - January 4, 2021
South Bend – William “Bill” Burkus, 67, passed away on Monday at IU Health University Hospital.
Bill was born March 12, 1953 in South Bend, IN to the late William and Lillian (Steinhofer) Burkus.
Left to cherish Bill’s memory are his children, Timothy William Burkus and Jennifer Frances (Jason Roberts) Brough; grandchildren, Tyler Burkus, Ella Burkus, Brynn Burkus, and Madilyn Brough; and a brother, Thomas Burkus.
Bill was a truck driver for many years and retired from Federal Mogul. He enjoyed woodworking, being outdoors gardening, and spending time on the water. His favorite hobbies were fishing and riding on his boat with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to the casino, especially with his childhood friend, David Kush. Bill’s greatest love was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was very involved in all their sport activities and Saturday breakfast's at OC Cafe and Yellow Cat Cafe. He also loved his dogs, Buddy and Sam, they will miss him.
