Ella F (Jovanich) Pullin

Ella F Pullin, 84, residing in Granger, passed away peacefully at 11:11 am Sunday, December 03, 2023, at StoryPoint Senior Living with her loving son Randy at her bedside. She was born November 18, 1939, in South Bend to the late Joseph and Cora (Lambick) Jovanich and remained a lifelong area resident.

On February 13, 1960, in Mishawaka, the former Ella F. Jovanich, married George A Pullin celebrating 63 years of marriage. George preceded Ella in death on October 26, 2023 only 5 weeks ago. Ella is survived by her daughter, Carmin (James) Olson of Saline, MI; son, Randy (Christine) Pullin of South Bend; and seven grandchildren, Branden (Lindsey) Olson of Milan, MI, Benjamin (Joelle) Olson of Saline, MI, Gavin Olson and Geordan Olson, both of Dundee, MI, Nichole (Seth Wise) Pullin of Chicago, IL, Nathan Pullin of Newport, KY and Matthew Pullin of South Bend. Additionally, Ella is survived by a brother-in-law Robert Moore and two sisters-in-law, Janet (Bernie) DeCraene of Granger and Marsha Pullin of South Haven, MI. Ella was preceded in death by her sisters, Sylvia Zimmer, Valery (Ed) Nyari, Mary Moore and brother-in-law Richard Pullin.

Ella graduated from Washington High School, 1957. She owned and operated Pullin Custom Draperies for many years. Her interior designs, and window treatments were featured in several Granger Parade of Homes. Ella was a featured designer for Garden Homes. Her window treatments were featured in Architecture Digest magazine on the cover of their publication. Ella enjoyed working in the yard and spending time with her children, grandkids and her family. Ella and George enjoyed traveling and spent many summers at Singing Sands Resorts in South Haven overlooking Lake Michigan.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place and the family will be holding a private celebration of life for both Ella and George at a date to be announced. Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Ella may be donated to Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, 922 E. Colfax Avenue, South Bend, IN 46617.
