Margaret Mary (Tschida) Wartha

SOUTH BEND - Margaret M. Wartha, 67, of South Gertrude Street, died at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital. She retired in 1986 from Bendix Corp. after 44 years of service. Born Nov. 28, 1924, in South Bend, she was a lifelong area resident.

On Sept. 15, 1956, in South Bend, as Margaret Tschida, she married Anthony L. Wartha. He died Oct. 21, 1964. Surviving are a sister, Dorothy K. Van Paris of South Bend; and three brothers, Arthur M. Tschida and William J. Tschida, both of South Bend, and George L. Tschida of Laporte.

She was a member of St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society and Bendix Salaried Women's Club.
