MICHIGAN CITY Services for Orval J. Devereau, 57, Of 800 Ind. 212, Lot 1-N., died at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday at Walters Hospital after a short illness, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Ott Funeral Chapel Rev. Ambros McGinnity, chaplain of SL Anthony Hospital will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends are calling today from 7 to 9 p.m., all day Friday to 9 p.m., and Saturday until the hour of service at the funeral Chapel where there will be a Moose Lodge 980 Memorial at 7 p.m. Friday followed by a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. followed by a combined memorial service by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2536 and the John Franklin Miller American Legion Post 37. Also, the veterans of Foreign Wars 25-36 and American Post 37 will conduct full military services at the cemetery Saturday morning.

He was born Nov. 22, 1924, in South Bend. He was a retired truck driver for Clark Equipment On' June 22, 1968, in Newaygo, Mich, be married Donna L. Monroe Foster who survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Sandra Dombkowski, Mrs. Debra Kindig and Mrs. Kristy Neulieb, all of Michigan City, a stepdaughter, Linda Shuck of Riverside, Calif.; a stepson, Terry Foster of Riverside, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Fall of Mishawaka and Mrs. Lorraine Sherwood of Glendale, Calif.; and two brothers, Dale Devereau of Michigan City and Richard Devereau of South Bend.

He was a member of Moose Lodge 980, John Franklin Miller American Legion Post 37, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2536 and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a veteran of the Army in World War I and a Navy Veteran of the Korean War.
