Evelyn M. (Young) Ferguson

Mrs. Evelyn M. Ferguson, 79, of South Bend, Ind., passed away on Saturday morning, Sept. 24, in Hospice House, South Bend. Born on June 26, 1921 in South Bend to the late William and Louisa Anna (Rhodes) Young. On Sept. 9, 1943, she married Charles Ovid Ferguson who died in 1996. She is survived by her daughter, Sherri (Melvin) Burdue of Niles, Mich.; two grandchildren, Staci (Keven) Relth of Niles, Tim (Lisa) Burdue of South Bend; four greatgrandchildren, Chelsi Lee Reith, Melodi Lee Reith, Hanna Taylor Burdue and Linsey Kay Buti; and by a sister, Lillian Elam of Houston, Texas.

Mrs. Ferguson retired from the St. Joseph Bank and Trust Company, South Bend, after 35 years of services. She also was past owner of Ferguson Equipment Inc. Services will be held at 11 a.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 26, in the New Apostolic church, 5602 South Ironwood Road, South Bend, with Rev. John Lindstedt and Rev. George Donze officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery
