Virginia M. (Wroblewski) Collner

June 5, 1922 - Feb. 8, 2013

MISHAWAKA - Virginia M. Collner, 90, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away at 11:58 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2013, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Indiana. She was born on June 5, 1922, to the late Valentine W. and Eleanor B. (Hecklinski) Wroblewski in South Bend, Indiana, and was a lifelong resident. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ervin Wroblewski; and her best friend, Helen Dombrowski.

Mrs. Collner worked for many years as a Bank Teller for several different local banks. On April 8, 1943, as Virginia M. Wroblewski, she married her high school sweetheart, Charles "Ernie" Collner at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moscow, Idaho. He died on March 18, 2006.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Lori S. Collner and son-in-law, Roy Lowenstein of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jacob Lowenstein of Boise, ID, Dylan (Erica) Collner, Mira Lowenstein and Simon Lowenstein, all of Columbus, Ohio; and one great-granddaughter, Ava Collner of Columbus, Ohio.

Mrs. Collner was a member of St. Therese, Little Flower Parish. Virginia had a rich and rewarding social life with her Jamestown circle of friends and longtime friends from Singers Sewing. She loved Notre Dame, especially football. Virginia got her wish to never have to leave her home. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at St. Therese, Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 Ironwood Road, South Bend, IN, where friends may gather one hour prior to the Mass
