Jane A. (Wrobel) Korlowicz

Sept.20, 1922 – July 10, 2010 SOUTH BEND — Jane A.Korlowicz, 87, passed away at 5:45 p.m.on Saturday, July 10, 2010, in her daughter’s home with family by her side. Jane was born on September 20, 1922, in South Bend, to the late Ferdinand and Elizabeth (Fras) Wrobel.On November 30, 1946, she married Stanley W. Korlowicz, who passed away on October 8, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Wrobel, and by her sister, Carrie (Joseph) Olszewski.

She is survived by her son, Bill (Sharon) Korlowicz of Huntington Beach, CA;her daughter, Betsy (Charles) Losch of Granger;and by two grandchildren, Adam Losch of Indianapolis, IN, and Andrea Losch of Columbus, OH. Jane worked as a secretary/typist at the former Studebaker Corporation and in 1987 she retired from Indiana Employment Security Division.She always looked forward to the monthly luncheons with her fellow retirees, her water aerobics classes, and anytime she got together with her good friends or family.Jane was a lifetime parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. The family would like to sincerely thank all the nurses and aides from the Elkhart office of The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care who were support, and kindly care for mom and us during her illness so she could remain in the comfort of home.

Mom was always there to laugh with us, cry with us, support us, care for us, and, most of all, love us. She will remain in our minds and hearts forever.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m.on Thursday, July 15, 2010, in ST.JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S.Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.on Friday, July 16, 2010, in St.Adalbert Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St.Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care – 22579 Old US 20 East, Elkhart, IN;or to St.Adalbert Catholic Church, 2420 Huron St., South Bend, IN. For those who are unable to attend the funeral Mass, condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
