Stephen Vecs

Stephen Vecs, 77, of Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in the center. Mr. Vecs retired from the United States Postal Service and was a World War II Army veteran. He was born on March 11, 1922 in South Bend to John and Margaret Vecs, who both preceded him in death.

He is survived by a sister, Margaret Deranek of South Bend; a brother, John Vecs, Jr. of Mishawaka, Ind.; four nieces, Judy Deranek, Susan Deranek, Nancy Vecs, and Margie Currier; and by two nephews, Ronald Deranek and Steven Vecs.
