Marguerite (Varga) Cifelli

Marguerite Cifelli, 31, former South Bend resident and wife , of Gus Cifelli, former University of Notre Dame football star, died Saturday morning in Peter Brent Brigham Hospital in Boston during surgery for a heart ailment. Mrs. Cifelli.' the former Marguerite Varga, was born in South Bend Oct. 31, 1922.

She was married to August B. Cifelli May 1, 1948. Cifelli played football fo Notre Dame from 1946 through 1949 and la er played professionally for the Detroit Lions. The couple lived in Detroit, where Cifelli was employed by the Ford Motor Co. Also surviving is a brother, Thomas J. Varga, of Frankfort, Ind.
