Helen M. “Lenny” (Nemeth) Schramski

August 7, 1923 ~ January 19, 2022

Helen (better known as "Lenny") Schramski was a lifelong resident of South Bend. She was born August 7th, 1923 to Helen and Vincent Nemeth. She had three siblings all brothers. Two preceded her in death. She is survived by one brother Charles Nemeth of Albuquerque, NM.

Helen was married on June 3, 1944. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald on December 23, 1982 as well as her son Don, Lt. Col. USAF-retired.

She is survived by son Michael and wife Stella of Albuquerque, NM, daughter Donna and husband Tom of South Bend and daughter Sarah and husband Randy of Austin TX. She has three grandsons and one granddaughter and four great grandsons.

A visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday January 28, 2022 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday January 29, 2022 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (time pending) with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN.
