Driver Dies After Crash; III at Wheel

Aloysius J Molenda, 50, of 19013 Layden St, died at 9 45 p m Monday, Nov. 27, 1972, in Memorial Hospital. where he was admitted after suffering an apparent stroke while driving his car on Wedgewood Dr. According to St Joseph County Police, the car was eastbound on Wedgewood at 5.45 p m Monday when Molenda apparently suffered an attack, causing the car to veer and strike the rear of a parked automobile owned by Jack Huddleston, 19404 Wedgewood The impact caused Molenda to tumble from his vehicle onto the pavement. Officers said the Molenda car continued driverless for a short distance and stopped across the street from the Huddleston auto.

Mr Molenda was born on Aug 4, 1922 in South Bend, and had lived here all his life On May 19, 1945, in South Bend,, he married Elizabeth Magyese, who survives, along with two sons, Arthur T Bishop of Elkhart, and Lance Molenda of South Bend, a daughter, Mrs Anita Freet of Elkhart, five grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs Val DelVulf, Mrs. Anne Megyese, Mrs Sophia Tindall, and Mrs Mary Ewald, all of South Bend

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p m today and 10 a m. to 9 p m Wednesday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a m. Thursday m Christ the King Catholic Church, Rev. Stanley J. Rdzok, C.S C pastor, officiating Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. A  parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeraLhome He was a superintendent of shipping at the A M. General Corp..

Mr. Molenda was a member of Chapter 1437, D.A.V., and the American Federation of Musicians. Val DelVulf, Mrs. Anne Megyese, Mrs Sophia Tindall, and Mrs Mary Ewald, all of South Bend.
