Ann Marie (Kovatch) Morman

SOUTH BEND - Ann Marie Morman, 89, passed away at 2:30 pm Friday, January 11, 2013, in Sanctuary at St. Paul's.

Ann was born June 12, 1923, to the late John and Ann (Fucsok) Kovatch. On May 20, 1943, Ann married Michael C. Morman, and he passed away in 1980. Ann was also preceded in death by daughter, Suzanne L. Toffolo; sister, Margaret Kovatch; and brothers, John S. and Joseph Kovatch.

Survivors include daughters, Linda (Dennis) Mann of Richmond, IN, Patricia (Albert) Suppinger of Chattanooga, TN, and Janet (Daniel) Davis of Lake Villa, IL; son-in-law, Richard L. Toffolo of Indianapolis, IN; nine grandchildren & two great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Wiatrolik of North Liberty, IN; and nieces and nephews.

Ann retired from the South Bend Tribune in 1995 after 18 years of service. She assumed several leadership positions with Benjamin Harrison Elementary and Washington High School Parent Teacher Associations, Campfire Girls of America, and the National Association of Letter Carriers Lady Auxiliary. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church, and was a member of the church Senior and New Life groups. Ann was a resident at the Sanctuary at St. Paul's and a member of St. Paul's Catholic Community where she participated in various social events and service projects.
