Dorothy Louise “Dot” (Beck) Crocker

Dorothy L Crocker Oct 17, 1924 -Jan. 16, 2002 Dorothy Louise Crocker, 77, of Cedar Street, Niles, Mich., died of an extended illness on Wednesday, Jan. 16, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind. Dorothy was bom in South Bend on Oct. 17, 1924, to Louis C. and Ruby (Curran) Beck. She was a lifetime area resident. She had been employed as a proof-reader for the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

Mrs. Crocker is survived by her husband, Dilliard, whom she married April 28, 1944, in Niles. She is also survived by daughters, Linda (Don) Kilbourn of Kentwood, Mich., and Julia Ann Tracey of Buchanan, Mich. Her sons include Steven J. of Niles and Bryan (Connie) Crocker of Angola, Ind. She is survived by sisters, Janet Hauch of Stevensville, Mich., Julane White of Citrus, Fla., and Maryann Wright of Niles; and by a brother, Ray Beck of Edwardsburg, Mich.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Beck.

Eight of her special grandchildren include Kyle Tracey, Shane Wagner and Andy, Cory, Todd, Stephanie, Haley and Madison Crocker. Great-grandchildren are Alysia and Kelsey Crocker.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, in the Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with Rev. Joseph Koma of St. Mark Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the Halbritter Funeral Home.
