Funeral Notes CIULA Services for John T. Ciula, 54, of 2909 Hartzer, who died Tuesday, Sep 16, 1975, in Memorial Hospital after a three-week illness, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Rev.Joseph A. Jacobs, pastor, will officiate. Burial will. be in Highland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p m. today and 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p m. Thursday and memorial services will be conducted at 8 p m. Thursday by the members of Lodge 58, Loyal Order of Moose, of which he was a member.
He was a Capitol Tooling Inc. employee having worked there nine years. Born on Dec 28. 1920, in Knowlton, Wis., he had lived here most of his life.
On June 12, 1948, he married Eunice M. Backus, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Christine Danner of South Bend and Mary, at home; a grandson; two brothers, Joseph Shula and Peter Ciula II, both of South Bend, and three sisters, Mrs. Sally Jaworski, Mrs. Adeline Van Paris and Mrs. Helen Leorold, all of South Bend.
He was a World War II and Korean War veteran and a member of Post 3194, Schuyler Colfax Veterans of Foreign Wars; the Ushers Club and the Independent Order of Foresters.
