LORETTA V. (SOBECKI) MAURE

Loretta V. Maure Aug. 22, 1925 - Nov. 17, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Loretta V. Maure, 90, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015, in the Milton Home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Loretta was born August 22, 1925, in South Bend, to the late Valentine and Martha (Langner) Sobecki. On July 3, 1946, Loretta married the love of her life, Dominick Maure, at St. Adalbert's Catholic Church; he preceded her in death on October 2, 1984. Loretta was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Clara, Gertrude, Benedict, Edward and John; son-in-law, John Hudnall; and grandson, Mark A. Maure.

Survivors of Loretta include her children, Thomas J. (Joan) Maure of Osceola, Patrick D. (Heather) Maure, Lyons, NY, Peggy (Richard) Maure-Tucker of South Bend, Marykay (David) Hyduk of South Bend, Marty (Joseph) Krom-kowski of Mishawaka, Paul A. (Kristie) Maure of Walkerton and Laura Hudnall of Granger; sisters, Anne Bryant of Mentone, IN, and Emily Williams of Stringer, MS; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Loretta graduated from Washington High School and retired in 1991 from the St. Joseph County Clerk's Office.

Loretta was a lifelong parishioner of St. Casimir Catholic Church, as well as a member of the St. Anne's Society, Senior Citizens Group and Rosary Society. She loved sewing, camping, and going to garage sales, and she was an avid fan of Notre Dame and Purdue football (Unless they were playing each other). Most of all, Loretta was extremely proud of her educated family.

Visitation for Loretta will be 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, November 19, 2015, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday, November 20, 2015, in St. Casimir Catholic Church, with Msgr. Bruce Piechocki presiding. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 230 W. Catalpa, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
