CORDELL MAHONE

SOUTH BEND - Mr. Cordell Mahone Jr., 25, a resident of West Washington Street, South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 12:50 a.m., Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Cordell was born in South Bend on December 21, 1987 to Cordell Mahone, Sr. and Gladys Marie Terry.
He graduated from Washington High School in 2006 and was employed by Octrapharma as a Machine Tech.
Cordell walked everywhere he went, even to visit family. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and making people laugh.
Surviving family members include his daughter, Jamia Stokes; his parents, Cordell Mahone, Sr. and Gladys Terry (Duncan Williams), all of South Bend, IN; three sisters, Latoya Mahone and Brianna Johnson, both of South Bend, and Kmiko Johnson of Columbus, GA; two brothers, Dominique Mahone-Terry of South Bend, IN and Devin Mahone of Niles, MI; maternal grandfather, Willie Terry; paternal grandparents, Faye Wallace and Curtis Mahone Sr., along with special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Vivian Mitchell.
The funeral service for Cordell Mahone will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Greater New Harvest Church, 1827 Caroline Street, South Bend, with Pastor Ronald Staggers officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
