Debra (Debi) Joyce Ciesielski
Debra (Debi) Joyce Ciesielski, 62, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 03, 2024. Debi was born on April 23, 1961 in South Bend to the late Ervin and Marian (Skowronski) Ciesielski. She was a loving niece to the late Gladys and Richard Skowronski. She was a close cousin to Dale Skowronski.
Left to cherish Debi’s memories are her cousins, Denis (Lisa) Skowronski of Cincinnati, OH, nieces Allison (Randy) Becker and Hillary (Jason) Capua and great nephews Hank, Greyson, Brody, and Keaton.
Debi worked for Kroger and Midway Airline for a few years, then went to work for AEP for over 15 years. She volunteered at Pottawatomi Zoo and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union.
Debi enjoyed traveling, and has traveled nationally and internationally. She had a big heart for animals; rescuing and caring for many cats. Debi loved to make crafts and go to various craft shows. She was a talented photography and tennis player.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00AM with a funeral service beginning at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., South Bend, IN. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend, with a luncheon after. We hope you all can attend and celebrate Debi’s life.
