Kenyon Darryl Hesiben - Class Of 1973

Kenyon Darryl Hesiben

Kenyon Darryl Hesiben, passed away on November 22, 2021, at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Indiana. He was born on July 22, 1955, to the late Florence A. Wilson, and Orntrue and Della Hesiben.

Kenyon was a lifelong South Bend resident and grew up on Lake Street. He graduated from Washington High School in 1973, and soon after, was employed by Allied Products for many years. 'Pretty Kenyon', as he asked his grandkids to call him, loved his family and his many Lakeside friends. Back in the day, he could be seen cruising in his green caddy on his way to Mandy’s for her famous fried chicken and chocolate chip cake. Kenyon also enjoyed shooting dice, hanging with the Joneses, and having fun at LaSalle Park.

Pretty Kenyon is survived by his children: Kenisha, Kenya, Kendra, Keyuanna, Kenyon, Keenen, and Tony; and his grandchildren: Damesha, Demetrius Jr., Tanyla, Ky’Air, Taryn, Zion, Jace, Kavion, Ky’lynn, Jersey, LaSane, Kaliyah, Kaiden, Ki’Mari, and Keruan; all of South Bend, Indiana. Kenyon had two very special women in his life: Connie Hesiben and Donna Murphy.

Also, surviving is Kenyon’s twin sister, Kimberly Hesiben; his brothers: Wayne (Martha) Hawkins, and George Robison; as well as a host of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his siblings: Debra Hughes, Judith Bradley, and Roy Hesiben.

Kenyon was a loving family man and had a huge heart. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and shared his light.
